I have been drinking fruit smoothies for the past nine months. I lost 20 pounds so far. Most mornings my smoothies consisted of bananas with frozen fruit. I have been putting dates in my smoothies occasionally. You can skip the dates if you don't have them or don't like them. Diet is only a small part of losing weight. You have to exercise a few times a week. I have rode my bicycle 12 miles or more a couple days a week. We rode 30+ miles on our bicycles on the weekends. Walking and hiking are also great ways to burn calories. I swim a few laps in the pool at the fitness club.
