Many of my green smoothie recipes on this website contain more than 200 milligrams of calcium, and many have more calcium than a glass of milk.

•{KIWI PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE}•

Kiwi, with its bright color and succulent exotic taste, is also a fruit packed with nutrients. It is rich in actinidain, which helps in improving digestion. It also has high levels of potassium which helps regulate blood pressure and reduce heart complications. This smoothie uses coconut milk for extra flavor, but if you want to lighten it up, try using coconut water instead.
Ingredients:
2 kiwi
½ cup pineapple chunks
½ cup cucumber, chopped
A handful of kale
1 tbsp. lime juice
Coconut milk to fill line
Instructions:
Place all ingredients into the NutriBullet and blend until smooth.

{KALE AND COCONUT OIL SMOOTHIE}•

This smoothie utilizes coconut oil mixed with greens and some mango just to take an edge off the bitterness of the Kale. If you are not a green smoothie fan, try adding coconut oil to your favorite fruit smoothie.

Ingredients:
1 tbsp virgin coconut oil
¼ cup chopped fresh mint
¼ cup chopped flat leaf parsley
1 medium rib celery, chopped
½ cup frozen organic mango
1 cup organic kale, ribs and stems removed)
Coconut Milk or Coconut Water to fill line
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to your large nutribullet cup, saving water for last.
Once you have filled the cup with water to the fill line, puree ingredients to desired consistency.

•{Fat Burning Green Tea and Vegetable Smoothie•}

This recipe is designed to burn fat, but it is also an antioxidant powerhouse. Green tea increases metabolism and broccoli and cauliflower have enzymes that reportedly help the body more efficiently burn fat. Pineapple is added for a flavor boost and to provide vitamin C and antioxidants. Note that for fat burning properties caffeinated green tea should be used. If you just want the antioxidant benefits of green tea then using decaf is fine.

Ingredients:
3 Broccoli Florets
2 Cauliflower Florets
2 Pineapple Spears
Green tea to the fill line

Instructions:
Fill the Nutribullet
Blend for 20-30 seconds

Typically, greens drinks don’t pack a lot of protein. But if you want to get your greens and a high-protein meal or snack, this green smoothie will deliver. The spinach is loaded with iron, Vitmain A (almost 30% of your RDA) and Vitamin C and the apple adds both fiber and sweetness.

1 cup baby spinach leaves
1 medium firm apple, such as Granny Smith or Pink Lady, seeds removed and skin intact
4 thin slices of fresh lime, with skin
1 6-ounce container of plain Greek yogurt
Skim Milk to the fill line
Instructions:
Place all ingredients into the NutriBullet and blend until smooth.
